For Monday -
All classes: Finish all quotes (9) and vocabulary (8), no dissection quotes for chapter 3.
Read to the end of chapter 3. 
Note: Because Piggy doesn't speak in this chapter, you can replace him with Simon for the three quotes. 


Do not forget to start studying for the vocabulary quiz on Tuesday! All assigned words from chapters 1-3.

All classes -  At least 3 quotes and all assigned vocabulary due for Chapter 3 (5 words; oppressive, inscrutable, vicissitudes, declivities, tacit). (see special note 2)
Read to pg. 51 in the big white book, 48 in the green book, and 52 in the small white book. The word to stop on is "home."
Journal entry for Chapters 2+3 should be done by today!


Special note 1: The vocabulary quiz will now take place on Tuesday, September 27th.

For Thursday -
All classes: DRP testing will continue on Thursday. You may bring LA/Reading work in case you finish early.
The three "dissection" paragraphs for chapter 2 are due thursday. This should complete your quotes and vocabulary project for chapter 2.
Reminder - final drafts of "The Most Dangerous Game" paper due Thursday

For Friday -
All classes: At least 3 quotes and all assigned vocabulary due for Chapter 3 (5 words; oppressive, inscrutable, vicissitudes, declivities, tacit).

For Wednesday:
All classes - There will be DRP testing on Wednesday. Please do not forget to bring your outside reading book in case you finish early.
Complete the remaining quotes and the vocabulary, you do not have to do the dissection paragraphs. This should leave you with 9 quotes and 7 vocabulary words.

Reminder: The final draft of your "The Most Dangerous Game" essay is due on Thursday. Please include your first draft and grading sheet when you hand it in.

All classes - Read to pg. 38 (the page break in the white book, the bottom of the page in the small book)
Begin quotes and vocabulary assignment - at least one quote (including speaker, pg. number, and notes) for each of the three characters. Complete all the assigned vocabulary words - ebullience, recrimination, tumult, and tirade.
For LA 2+3 - complete journal assignment started in class today.


For Thursday:
All classes - final draft of "The Most Dangerous Game" paper due. No matter what your grade was on the first draft, I should get an edited paper on Thursday.


For Friday:
All classes - journal entry for chapters 2+3 (just one entry for both of these chapters, you may choose one or write about both).
