If you are looking for information about summer reading and supplies, please see the post below this one. 

The first day of school is just around the corner! I will be collecting your three literature logs on Friday, September 7th. 

If you need an extension, please talk to me before the due date. 

Summer Information for Incoming 8th Graders

Hello and welcome!

We ask that incoming 8th graders read a minimum of three books over the summer and complete literature logs for each of them. 
The books you choose are entirely up to you, though I would like to see texts that are appropriate for your age and skill level.

This link will take you to a printable copy of the literature log. You may also type your responses based on the same format. 

Please bookmark this blog! This blog will have every homework assignment and due date I share with you in class. It is a great resource for students and parents to keep track of ELA work and due dates. 

Below is a suggested supply list for 8th grade ELA:
